Northern Rocks

Northern Rocks is a world-class indoor bouldering facility. We are the first dedciated boulder facility in the North Island! Northern Rocks offers indoor climbing, training walls, fitness equipment and yoga. Our youth and adult programs are available to all levels of abilities.

We offer school programs for NCEA or EOTC, after school coaching programs for youth, adult coaching classes or individual lessons for advancing climbing technique, and fitness sessions! We are also a hosting venue for national bouldering championships and we host several social events throughout the year which are fantastic for building community. All abilities are welcome and some of our events raise money for charities.

We're invested in creating a facility that fosters community, growth and positive experiences for people of all backgrounds and abilities. We are proud to uphold a high level of professionalism and a supportive culture within our staff and community.

Northern Rocks brings the thrill of outdoor bouldering to Auckland, except now the activity can be enjoyed inside, rain or shine, from beginner to elite, with family and friends of all ages and backgrounds.

Each climbing area is specifically designed to accommodate varying levels of experience and ability. For the beginner climber, we will introduce you to bouldering with easy holds and simple movement. You can progress easily through challenges at your own pace, on walls that vary in angle with holds of all shapes and sizes.

For the experienced climber, jump straight in and try the colour graded boulder problems, training walls and campus boards.
