Description

Founded in 1995 by Kiwi legends Sir Graeme Dingle and Lady Jo-anne Wilkinson, the GRAEME DINGLE FOUNDATION is a non-profit organisation transforming the lives of thousands of Kiwi tamariki and rangatahi each and every year. Targeting NZ’s appalling youth statistics including youth suicide, truancy, bullying in schools, lack of self-confidence and high youth unemployment rates, our programmes instil positive values such as Integrity, Resilience, Respect and Positive Relationships, supporting our young people to make good life choices.

As a direct result of our programmes, we see a significant reduction in bullying, truancy and anti-social behaviour, and an increase in academic achievement and engagement at school. Furthermore, we develop the soft skills and competencies of young people, preparing them to make the difficult transition from education to employment. Most importantly, we help young people to develop their mental and emotional strength by building their self-belief, confidence and resilience, empowering our most vulnerable youth to overcome life’s greatest obstacles. This makes for a generation of young people who are happy, healthy, resilient, purposeful, have positive values, have a strong sense of self-worth, are positive about the future, and hold a positive connection with their community, including local businesses.

The Graeme Dingle Foundation Auckland, our Auckland Trust, has been supporting youth in Auckland for 25 years, and currently works with 9,000 students across the Auckland region.
