Quarry Arts Centre

Owned and operated by the Northland Craft Trust, a Charitable Trust formed in 1982 by Yvonne Rust a dedicated ceramics artist, with the purpose to nurture the arts in Northland by supporting artists to work. The Arts Centre is a working community of arts and crafts spaces with four major roles:
• It provides an inspirational working environment for artists and visitors alike with working studio space for artists to create and store work, which can be visited by the public.
• It runs a gallery offering affordable exhibition and retail display space where artists from the arts centre and around Te Tai Tokerau/Northland can exhibit and sell their work.
• It runs creative workshops for the community with regular classes for adults and children in many different media and provides facilities for artistic groups and individuals, including pottery wheels, electric and wood-fired kilns.
• It specialises in the sale of clay, glazes and other materials for the production of ceramics.
